The Mosaic Rooms’ 2010 Programme includes an exhibition of new work by Rome-based Palestinian artist Hazem Harb; by Bashar Hroub (currently studying at the Winchester Art College; a group show of work by finalists of the A.M. Qattan Foundation’s 2010 Young Artist of the Year Award; and, opening on 23 September 2010, the first UK solo show by acclaimed Jordanian sculptor Mona Saudi. As part of the Delfina-Qattan UK Artistic Residency programme, Jerusalem artist Jawad Al-Malhi will also be showing new work in the Rooms during June.

In collaboration with the prestigious Hay Festival, we plan readings by several young Arab writers shortlisted in the Beirut 39 nominations, some of them on their first UK tours. We will also continue our close collaboration with the Earl’s Court Festival and the Palestine Literature Festival while also sponsoring the first Edward W Said Annual Lecture, which will be given by Professor Marina Warner at the British Museum on the 17 May 2010. In film, a number of small seasons are planned, including of new work from Lebanon.
